WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. -- An armed man who demanded money at a Washington County doctor's office left without stealing anything. Police said the robbery attempt happened just before 6 p.m. on Monday at Dr. Oliver Herndon's office at 1000 Waterdam Plaza. Witnesses said the man went into the doctor's office and held a gun to an employee's back. Police said the man demanded money and told her to be quiet. Police said the woman began crying and screaming, which got the attention of the doctor. When the Herndon approached the man, the robber turned the gun on him and then demanded money. Investigators said the doctor explained that there was no money in the office because it was after 5 p.m. and the cash had already been taken to the bank. Police said the would-be robber then left the building. Officers continue to search for the man. WPXI News
